What is an ETF?
Exchange-traded funds, or ETFs are investment funds that trade like stocks on a stock exchange. ETFs invest in a pool of assets, such as stocks, commodities, or bonds. They are attractive to investors because of their low fees, risk diversification and tax efficiency. ETFs often track an index, allowing investors to gain exposure to a diversified basket of companies without purchasing each individual share.
What are Vanguard ETFs?
Vanguard Shares is an exchange-traded mutual fund that gives you instant access to the most popular index in the U.S. market—the S&P 500® index of large-cap companies. This index provides diversification and broad exposure to all of America’s largest, most actively traded stocks. As a result, it is a low-cost way of investing in stocks, bonds and other funds.
